Preventative Maintenance and Cleaning

Preventative maintenance and cleaning of a computer and peripherals includes the removal of dust and other debris from the components and checking cables and connections for wear and looseness. It also includes running software that checks the disks, software and operating system for possible problems. This also includes virus checking, deleting unwanted files and software, and performing disk defragmentation. We have a checklist of items that we go through for this service.

We offer several types of maintenance contracts whereby we will visit you on a regular basis to check for problems and do routine maintenance. In many cases such a maintenance plan will fix problems before they become too big and then require major expenses to repair.

In Canada, especially in the winter it is advisable to maintain equipment at a constant temperature and not take it outside to a vehicle if possible.
